Radiant Credit Union took a pivotal role in community engagement on a recent Saturday in March, serving as the title sponsor for the Power of the Purse Brunch. The event, organized by Peaceful Paths, is known for its commitment to aiding survivors of domestic abuse. Attendees enjoyed a hearty breakfast catered by Hill's BBQ and Catering, setting a welcoming (and delicious!) atmosphere for the day's activities.
The brunch was highlighted by a purse silent auction, where hundreds of purses were up for grabs. This auction not only served as the event's main attraction but also symbolized the collective support for those affected by domestic abuse. The funds raised from the event are directed towards Peaceful Paths' Economic Empowerment program supporting survivors of domestic abuse through financial education and support services.
After the auction closed, Peaceful Paths announced that over $41,000 was raised!
