Verify Before You Click: How to Recognize Legitimate Radiant Messages

Digital banking makes it easier to manage your money, apply for services and communicate with Radiant. It also makes it important to know when a message or link is legitimate.

Radiant may occasionally send you a link to help complete a service or transaction you've requested. Before clicking, take a moment to Verify Before You Click.

Check Three Things

1. Sender

Is the message from Radiant's official contact information?

2. Purpose

Does the message relate to something you requested, a transaction you're completing or a recent interaction with Radiant?

3. Destination

Does the link take you to Radiant's official website or a trusted service you recognize?

If something doesn't look right (or you're simply not sure) don't click the link. Open the Radiant Mobile App, type radiantcu.org directly into your browser or contact Radiant using a trusted phone number.

When Radiant May Send You a Link

Depending on the service you're using, Radiant may send links related to:

  • Payment requests

  • Secure document uploads

  • Insurance verification

  • Secure document signing

  • Online banking services

  • Fraud alerts requiring you to log in

  • Fraud disputes

Receiving a link isn't automatically a sign of fraud. The important thing is to make sure the message is expected and actually came from Radiant before you act.

What Radiant Will Never Ask You to Do

Radiant will never ask you to:

  • Provide your password or one-time verification code by email, text or over the phone.

  • Move your money to a so-called "safe" account.

  • Act immediately because your account will otherwise be closed.

  • Install remote-access software at our request.

When in Doubt, Stop and Verify

Never provide passwords, PINs, one-time passcodes or Secure Access Codes through a link or in response to an unexpected email or text.

If you're unsure about a communication you've received, don't use the contact information or link contained in the message. Instead, open the Radiant Mobile App, type radiantcu.org directly into your browser or call the number on the back of your Radiant debit or credit card.

A few seconds spent verifying a message can help protect your personal and financial information.

Remember: Sender. Purpose. Destination. Verify Before You Click.
